Barcolobo Winery sits in the heart of the La Rinconada estate, a protected natural enclave along the Duero River in Valladolid. Surrounded by the Riberas de Castronuño – Vega del Duero Natural Reserve, the estate is home to vineyards, wildlife, and a long tradition of agriculture. In 2001, the historic winemaking heritage of La Rinconada was revived, transforming old farm buildings into a boutique winery dedicated to quality and authenticity.
We craft wines that express the soul of our terroir. Sandy, pebble-rich soils and an extreme continental climate shape grapes of purity and concentration, while our low-intervention approach allows each variety to reveal its true character. At Barcolobo, balance is everything, between fruit and oak, nature and craftsmanship, tradition and innovation.
Our 20 hectares of Tempranillo, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon thrive in sandy, rocky soils influenced by cold winters and hot summers. Careful, year-round vineyard work and limited yields ensure exceptional quality and depth in every harvest.
Hand-picked grapes arrive in small crates and are cooled to preserve freshness. After careful selection, they ferment in small, temperature-controlled tanks before aging in French oak barrels. Each parcel is vinified separately, allowing us to craft expressive, elegant wines that showcase the unique identity of La Rinconada.
